WorldPride Washington DC
WorldPride 2025 came to Washington DC — the first time WorldPride has been held in the United States. The event coincided with the 50th anniversary of the first Washington DC Capital Pride, making it a particularly significant milestone for the American LGBTQ+ rights movement. Washington DC hosted hundreds of thousands of international visitors for a week of events.
The Parade & Festival
The WorldPride Parade marched through central Washington DC, passing the White House and the National Mall in a powerful symbolic route. The festival on the Mall and in the Dupont Circle neighbourhood brought together LGBTQ+ communities from around the world.
The City
Washington DC is a remarkable host for WorldPride — a city of extraordinary museums (all free), monumental architecture, and a large, politically engaged LGBTQ+ community. The Logan Circle, Dupont Circle, and Capitol Hill neighbourhoods are the heart of DC's queer life.
