Out Getaways exists to answer those questions honestly. We cover destinations, Pride festivals, bear weeks, community events, and the kind of practical detail that helps LGBTQI+ travellers plan with confidence — not guesswork.

We write for everyone in the community: gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, non-binary, intersex, queer, and questioning. Our guides cover safety and legal context alongside the fun stuff — venues, scenes, neighbourhoods, and the events that bring the community together from around the world.

We aim to be honest, specific, and practical. Safety information is presented clearly — not to scare, but because knowing what to expect lets you travel with confidence. We note where legal protections exist, where they don't, and what that means on the ground.

We don't sanitise destinations. A city can have a brilliant queer scene and also have areas where public affection is inadvisable. We try to give you the full picture.
