Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has a comparatively progressive legal framework for Central Europe. Same-sex registered partnerships have been recognised since 2006, with full marriage equality enacted in 2024. Prague in particular has one of the most vibrant LGBTQI+ scenes in the region and has long been a popular destination for queer travellers from across Europe.

Public attitudes in Prague are generally relaxed, though more conservative views persist outside the capital. Anti-discrimination protections cover employment and services on the basis of sexual orientation.
